Terms
Ad — A marketing message designed to inform or influence an audience to promote a product, service or idea.
Ad frequency (playout frequency) — How often an ad plays in a given period.
Ads Manager — FRAMEN's advertiser dashboard where you plan campaigns, pick venues, upload creatives, and track performance. See Tour the Ads Manager.
Approval / approval rate — When a campaign goes live, FRAMEN reviews the setup and sends creatives to each screen network for approval. See Campaign approval status.
Asset / creative — The media that runs in a campaign: image, video, copy, or branding. See Creative specifications.
Awareness — How familiar a target audience is with a brand, product or service (top of the marketing funnel).
Call to action (CTA) — A clear instruction that tells the viewer what to do next.
Campaign — A strategic push with a defined start date, end date, budget, target region and audience. See Build your first campaign.
Channel — Curated third-party content (news, lifestyle, sports, etc.) that plays between ads on screens. Screen owners pick Channels from Screens → Channels. See Use Channels on your screens.
Conversion — Turning a prospect or lead into a customer; the outcome most campaigns optimise for.
Digital-out-of-home (DOOH) — Digital signage in public and semi-public spaces: billboards, lobbies, airports, malls. FRAMEN is a DOOH network.
Gallery — The media library shared between Ads Manager and Screen Manager. In Ads Manager, the Gallery holds your creatives per Brand. In Screen Manager, it holds all items assigned to screens and is where you schedule content.
Impression — One view of an ad by one person. Impressions are what advertisers pay for. See Footfall and impressions explained.
KPI — Key Performance Indicator; a measurable value that tracks progress toward a goal.
Location / venue — A place where FRAMEN screens are installed: supermarket, gym, coworking space, gas station, hotel, etc. Members are scoped per-Location or to "All Locations".
Max Capacity — The point at which your budget exceeds what the current targeting can deliver. An orange Max Capacity pill appears on the Estimated impressions bar. Lower the budget, broaden targeting, or extend the run.
OOH — Out-of-home advertising; any format that reaches consumers outside their home, digital or physical.
Passkey — A phishing-resistant alternative to passwords, set up from Settings → Profile. Works with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key.
Playlist — A sequenced collection of content items managed in Publishing on workspaces where it's enabled.
Playout — How often an ad is shown in a given period (synonym for ad frequency).
Publishing — A Screen Manager sidebar module available on high-tier workspaces. It hosts playlist authoring and scheduling for operators managing multi-screen content rotations.
Products switcher — The toggle under the FRAMEN logo (top-left) that switches between Ads Manager and Screen Manager. See Tour the Screen Manager.
Programmatic DOOH — Automated buying and selling of DOOH inventory using real-time bidding and data signals like geolocation, demographics or weather. See Book FRAMEN via a DSP.
Screen Manager — FRAMEN's dashboard for venue owners to connect screens, manage content, and earn revenue. See Why use Screen Manager.
Screens — Smart TVs and digital signage displays installed in venues, used to play ads and other content.
Share of Voice (SoV) — The average share of screen time your campaign is expected to get compared to others running alongside it, updated in real time.
Signage — Electronic displays in public spaces, remotely controlled and updated in real time.
Spot — A specific ad played on a screen, typically a few seconds to several minutes long.
Sub-Campaign — A child campaign created underneath a parent via + Add Sub-Campaign on the campaign detail page. Inherits the parent's Brand and can override target country, timing, budget, targeting, scheduling, weather and creatives.
Weather targeting — Gate campaign delivery on live weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.) via the Weather section of the campaign editor. Default is Any weather. Launched Dec 5 2025.
Workspace — A tenant/organisation context in the dashboard with its own Locations, screens, Gallery items and campaigns. Switch workspaces via the Workspace switcher at the bottom of the left rail.
