What type of screen do I need?

Any screen with an HDMI port and a 16:9 aspect ratio can work. Here's what to check before you commit.

Use-case

This is the minimum-requirements checklist for FRAMEN setup. Covers size, ports, internet and hardware recommendations.

Minimum requirements

  • Aspect ratio: 16:9 (standard for most modern TVs and monitors).

  • Port: HDMI, or a DVI port with an HDMI-to-DVI adapter. USB won't work.

  • Size: 40 inches or larger recommended; smaller screens work too.

  • Internet: 5 Mbps minimum. Wi-Fi or Ethernet; stable preferred.

  • Power: a free HDMI slot and nearby power socket.

What you need to connect

  • Smart TV with the FRAMEN app — no extra hardware needed.

  • Smart TV without the FRAMEN app — plug in a FRAMEN TV Box or Amazon Fire TV Stick.

  • Non-smart TV or signage — FRAMEN TV Box.

  • Existing digital signage or LiteURL setup — contact your account manager.

See Connect any screen for hardware details.

Internet stability

A reliable connection matters more than speed. 5 Mbps is the minimum; more is fine. For public or guest Wi-Fi, avoid captive-portal networks that require login — they time out. See Keep your screen awake and online.

Good to know

  • The system works at any screen size. Bigger, higher-traffic screens have more earning potential.

  • If buying a TV for FRAMEN, confirm it supports Android TV, Fire OS, or has a free HDMI port for a separate streaming device.

  • See Connect any screen for compatibility details.
