Upload and assign content

Use the Gallery to upload your own media — videos, images, HTML, embedded web pages — and assign it to any of your screens.

Use-case

Put your own content alongside ads and Channels — promotions, class schedules, event info, brand messaging — and control which screens show what.

Gallery layout

The Gallery is the landing page of Screen Manager (/gallery). The top shows:

  • Page title Gallery + a result count.

  • + Add Media button (top-right) — opens the upload dialog.

  • Kebab (⋮) — bulk operations.

A toolbar has Search, Sort, Select (multi-select), view toggle (grid/list).

Filter by Status (Running / Not in use / Pending review / Rejected) and Type (image, video, HTML, dynamic).

Folders and Files

On workspaces with Folders enabled:

  • Folders — expandable cards showing up to 3 thumbnails, title, and item count.

  • Files — media items not in a folder.

Archiving a folder returns its items to Files. Folders are per-product — Screen Manager folders aren't visible in Ads Manager.

Upload content

Click + Add Media to open the upload dialog (two tabs).

Media tab - Drag & drop or click Browse to upload images or videos. - Supported: up to 4K, 200 MB max. - Send to screens — checkbox, pre-queues the item for assignment.

Web page tab - Title — required. - Embeddable URL** — required. Creates an item the player iframes live instead of uploading a file. - Sites with X-Frame-Options: DENY won't render.

Both types count against your workspace quota, shown at the top (e.g. "Used 3507 of 10000").

Supported file types

  • Video: MP4

  • Image: JPEG, PNG, GIF

  • Web: HTML, embedded URLs

Assign to screens

Click any item in the Gallery to open the Properties drawer on the right. It has three tabs: Screens, Schedule, Details. A preview appears on the left, with pagination (3 / 3507 ‹ ›) to step through the library.

  • Screens tab — tick Locations and screens where the item should play. Badges show how many of a Location's screens are assigned.

  • Schedule tab — when the item plays. See Schedule your content.

  • Details tab — metadata: format, size, language, last modified, kebab actions.

Bulk assign

  1. Click Select in the toolbar to enable multi-select.

  2. Tick the items.

  3. Use the action bar (Edit → Screens) to assign several at once.

Edit content

Use the kebab (⋮) on any card for Edit, Duplicate, Download, Archive.

Copy content from one screen to another

  1. Open Screens (sidebar) or the Location's Screens tab.

  2. On the destination screen row, open the kebab (⋮) → Copy to Screen.

  3. Select the source screen.

  4. Save.

Or: when creating a new screen via Connect Screen, tick Copy content from an existing screen.

Ads Manager Gallery vs Screen Manager Gallery

Both products use /gallery. The left rail and logo subtitle disambiguate. Key differences:

  • Screen Manager CTA: + Add Media; Ads Manager: + New Creative.

  • Ads Manager items are creatives with orientation (Landscape / Portrait).

  • Folders are per-product.

Good to know

  • Playlists retired — content now lives in the Gallery and assigns directly to screens. Multiple items automatically form a running list. If Publishing is enabled, it manages playlist-style flows; see Schedule your content.

  • Buttons in card previews — Accept/Reject/Settings on embedded website previews are the site's own cookie-consent banners, not FRAMEN UI. Moderation happens via Pending review / Rejected status pills and kebab actions.

  • Language badge — some items show a language badge (e.g. "English") from upload metadata or the Details tab.

  • Find assignments — search by Location or screen title in the Gallery search bar to see where an item is assigned.
