Creative policy and approval

What's allowed on FRAMEN screens, what isn't, and what the review process looks like.

Use-case

Our screens are placed in semi-public venues — hotels, gyms, coworking spaces, gas stations — where brand safety matters to venue owners. This policy keeps the network usable for everyone.

Prohibited content

  • Misleading or deceptive claims

  • Illegal content (IAB26-1)

  • Adult sexual content and pornography (IAB25-3)

  • Copyrighted material you don't own (IAB26-4)

  • Counterfeit goods (IAB26-4)

  • Drugs and drug paraphernalia (IAB26-1)

  • Endangered species products (IAB26-1)

  • Hate content, sensitive topics, graphic violence (IAB25-5, IAB25-2)

  • Illegal products and services (IAB26-1)

  • Incentivised clicks or downloads (IAB25-7)

  • Spyware, malware, illegal hacking (IAB26-3)

  • P2P file-sharing apps, torrents, or anything promoting copyright infringement (IAB26-4)

  • Unauthorised ticket sales (IAB26-1)

  • Weapons and weapons accessories (IAB26-1)

Tobacco

Tobacco and tobacco accessories (IAB9-9) aren't outright banned but are widely restricted — expect low approval rates.

Look-alike content

Anything that could be mistaken for a restricted category is prohibited by default. A lingerie campaign that resembles adult content, or a toy weapon that reads as a real weapon, will be flagged.

The approval process

  1. Your campaign launches and enters Pending.

  2. FRAMEN reviews the creative against this policy.

  3. Creatives go to each relevant screen network for their own review.

  4. Each network has up to 48 hours (typically 24) to approve, reject or ignore. No response = automatic approval.

  5. Status moves to Accepted and the campaign runs.

Screen network owners can revoke approval later. If that happens, your ad stops playing on their network and budget is redistributed to the rest. See Campaign approval status.

Good to know

  • Your ad runs on whichever networks approve it. Budget auto-reallocates to approved screens. 100% approval isn't required.

  • If your creative is rejected, edit or replace it, upload the new version, and the campaign re-enters review. You don't need to rebuild the campaign.

  • If you're unsure whether a creative fits, contact our support team before launch. Faster than discovering it at review time.
