🎯 Locate Your Wi-Fi Password

You'll first need to know the name of your network and its password (if necessary).
Tip: Network name may be referred to as SSID; your password as passphrase or key.
🎯 To find your network name or password:
- Check the sticker on the bottom of your router.
- Check your installation guide or the owner's manual for your router.
- View the wireless settings on a device that is already connected to your network, such as a Windows PC, Mac, or mobile phone.
🎯 Windows PC
- Left-click the wireless icon in the taskbar.
- Right-click the name of the network that says Connected, and then click Properties.
- On the Connection tab, find your network name under Name or SSID.
- On the Security tab, find your password next to Network security key.
Note: To show your password, you'll need to be logged in on an Administrator account.
🎯 To view wireless settings on Windows 8.1 or higher:
- Navigate to Control Panel and click View network status and tasks.
- Click Change adapter settings and double-click on Wi-Fi.
- On the Connection tab, find your network name under Name or SSID.
- On the Security tab, find your password next to Network security key.
🎯 macOS X
To access the wireless settings on most Mac devices running OS X:
- Open Utilities folder, and then open the Keychain Access app.
- Click your wireless network name, and then click info.
- Check the Show Password box.
Note: To show your password, you'll need to enter the administrator password for your device.
